This late 19th-century facsimile letter on wove paper, mentions the arrival of a parcel of books, thanking the recipient for the ‘beautiful books’ and conveying ‘wishes for a merry Christmas and a happy New Year.’ The letter concludes with a facsimile signature, ‘Washington Irving.’
The signature has been determined by JSA to be a facsimile, indicating it is a printed reproduction of an original letter.
