A Broyhill Furniture dining set, circa 1950s. The chairs retain original ‘Broyhill Conover Furniture Company’ and ‘Lenoir Chair Company’ sticker to underside. The table is unmarked. Lot includes a set of six Broyhill Furniture dining room chairs. A stylish set constructed from walnut wood with a rich dark stain. Open slat back splat mortised into a flat crest rail to top. Their fixed padded chair seats has been upholstered in a green stripe weaved fabric. Lot includes four chairs and two armchairs. The extendable table is a wood veneer piece with a sculptured shaped top, raised on tapered round legs. Although unmarked its fair to assume the table is from the companies ‘Emphasis’ range. Includes three leaves. Ed Broyhill and his brother James Edgar Broyhill merged companies in the 1920s; ‘Lenoir Chair Company’ was founded by Ed, named after the North Carolina town where it was located.

Condition

- Fair. The chairs are in good condition with surface scratches, and one of the arm chairs is missing a screw cover. The table is in fair condition with surface scratches to top.

Arm chair measured. Table measurements: 58″ × 42″ × 30″. includes three 12" wide leaves.
