A beautiful and intricate Cosmochronotrope presented by the Smithsonian Institution executed by the Franklin Mint. The cosmochronotrope or astrological clock was invented and designed by James A. Sarratt of Stuebenville, OH. He designed a clock that displayed mean time and several astronomical times and positions. The cosmochronotrope is a wonderful marriage of science and art. The components of this remarkable piece consists of a glass dome, brass ‘clock,’ and a solid light wood base.
