Formerly attributed to George Catlin (American, 1796–1872). Once owned by John Y. Nelson, scout and performer in the Buffalo Bill Wild West Show. The reverse writing in the upper right does not appear on the verso of the sheet.

A framed presentation of a watercolor painting on paper by formerly attributed to George Catlin flanked by a newspaper clipping titled ‘Buffalo Bill’ Photos Exhibited and a cabinet card depicting John Y. Nelson of Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show.
