‘A Primary Conceptual self-taught artist with no formal or informal art training. gaZbo suddenly began painting in 1997 after being bitten by a deer tick and developing lyme disease at age 50. His children put his first paintings up for sale and “helped me through a very troubled time.” Using mostly house paint and Q-tips and sticks, gaZbo paints primarily from memory, images of people and experiences from his past. gazbo dean is a childhood nickname given to him by his older brother, gaZbo has been painting for 26 years and is currently 76 years old.’
