A beautiful vintage Kittinger banded mahogany Duncan Phyfe style dining table and eight chairs. The Kittinger table is in pattern #D1601-LH and is approximately 30 years old. The table’s design is Duncan Phyfe, a traditional style, and the medium brown mahogany table is accented with yew wood cross-banded border with curved corners. The pair of base pedestals have four arm supports, each capped with a ribbed solid brass end. The table comes with an extra leaf and fitted protective table pads, and is marked with a brass Kittinger tag to the verso. The eight chairs are in the Federal style, with shield backs topped with arched rail with convex molding with a center splat detailed with a spray of forget-me-knots to the top and a braided center feature with central rosette. The seat is upholstered in a pretty woven cream stripe, with the seat upholstered over the rails, straight on three sides and curved to the front. The front legs are straight and tapered, with the back legs having a gentle curve.The chairs are unmarked. There are two arm chairs, the rest are armless.
