An older etched metal plate, the lower left plate, after Jean Francois Millet’s (France, 1814-1875) ‘The Anglelus’. The artist signature, backwards, is on the left corner. The piece is framed in an older wood frame. The plate depicts the hem of the female peasant’s skirt and wagon wheel, just a section of the iconic image, which as a whole, captures a private moment of reflection between two farm workers.
