First Edition Ernest Hemingway Novel

A first edition hardback copy of Ernest Hemingway’s classic ‘Across the River and Into the Trees’ (Charles Scribner’s Sons of New York, 1950). This copy is marked with an ‘A’ just below the colophon which indicates that this is a first printing as well as a first edition. Some fading has occurred to the canvas hardback. Includes the original dust jacket with an illustration by A. Ivanich on the front and a black and white photo portrait of the author and his pet cat on the back. While the hardback itself is in good condition the dust jacket has definitely see some better days, it is torn, faded and flaking towards the bottom front corners, but features the original price of $3 on the inside flap.

Condition

The wear of this item is consistent with use and age.
