6 Great American Revolution Pewter Plates, Porcelain Work of Art

A set of six pewter plates are inscribed with ‘The Great American Revolution 1776’ and six stars, with porcelain scenes in the center by various artists. The scenes include: ‘Betsy Ross and The First Stars and Stripes, John Ward Dunsmore,’ ‘Washington Crossing the Delaware, Emanuel Leutze,’ ‘Declaration of Independence, John Trumbull,’ ‘Battle of Bunker’s Hill, John Trumbull,’ ‘Surrender of Cornwallis, John Trumbull,’ and ‘The Spirit of ’76, A.M. Willard.’ Manufactured in 1975 in Canton, Ohio by the Williamsport Foundry; the Foundry markings are: GIF, JSR, PVK, SBB, 2157, a tree within a circle, and a cannon within an oval. An original porcelain work of art by Thomas Wesley Freeman depicts the ship ‘The Empress of China’ that set sail in 1784; Certificate of Authenticity on the back.
Condition
“Declaration of Independence, John Trumbull” plate has a broken piece.
