An exquisit rhinestone embellished leather belt worn by a king… the King of Pop. This belt, which is claimed to have been worn by Michael Jackson, is a one of a kind, custom made piece that is adorned with an alternating design of metal encased emerald green rhinestones and metal florette-esque pieces, all on top of metal studs that outline the belt itself. The leather part of the belt is etched in a floral-like pattern, while the buckle and end of the belt are etched in more of a paisley pattern. Almost all of the metal parts and pieces on the belt are covered in patina and/or have loss to the finish. This 35’ belt is typical of Michael Jackson’s style and was most likely worn during the ‘Bad’ era as an ‘everyday belt’ versus one worn in concert, due to the fact that he wore much wider belts and belts in multiples for his performances because something like this would not be visible to the audience and thus would not be a necessary addition to his costumes. The belt is housed in a black and gold shadow box, lined in a tan velvet, and also includes a plaque that reads ‘Belt Worn By Michael Jackson.’ Belt is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity by R & R Enterprises. Fun Fact: Michael Jackson created his signature look of flood water pants and sparkly white socks to draw the audiences’ attention to his footwork on stage.
