English Wheelback Windsor Chair and American Windsor Chair
Item Details
An English wheelback Windsor chair and American Windsor chair. Both are circa 1950s or 1960s. The English Windsor chair features a hoop-shaped top, pierced wheelback splat, two angled spindles behind the main back of the chair, scrolled arms, and turned wood legs with turned cross stretchers. The American Windsor chair features a curved square shaped top rail, a ‘comb-back’ with turned outer spindles, a shaped seat, splayed legs, and turned wood legs with turned cross stretchers.
Condition
The English wheelback Windsor chair has two broken spindles.
