Albert Benjamin ‘Happy’ Chandler Sr. (1898 – 1991) was an American politician who represented Kentucky in the U.S. Senate and served as the state’s 44th (1935-1939) and 49th (1955-1959) governor. Chandler also served as Baseball Commissioner from 1945-1951.
