19th Century George V Copper Haystack Three Gallon Measure

A fabulous 19th century, three gallon, George V copper haystack measure. Traditionally used by the British Royal Navy for the purpose of mixing and dispensing Grog beverages. The colossal copper pitcher bears the lead government inspection stamp on the inside lip, a ‘GR’ under a crown and the number F20. The pitcher has its original tinned lining and the large applied handle.
