Antique Victorian Eastlake Curio Cabinet

Item Details

An antique Victorian Eastlake curio two-piece display cabinet. The cabinet is crafted from walnut and mahogany solid wood and veneer with lighter maple panels lining the interior top cabinet. The top cabinet is crowned with a bonnet which is detailed with handsome half moon wood molding. The cabinet has two large wood frame doors with glass inserts which open to reveal three newer glass shelves. The doors are adorned with applied wood moldings and turned wood columns. The base has two hand-cut dovetail constructed drawers on either side and one large storage cavern tucked behind a center cabinet door. The brass hardware on drawer fronts are original, the wood knobs on the drawers are not. Keys are present for locks on glass doors.

Condition

consistent with age and one door hinge is loose causing a split. See photo. Can be professionally repaired or glued by your favorite woodworker.
