A Big Pig Gig "Pig For All Seasons" by Michael Scott
A Big Pig Gig Pig For All Seasons sculpture by Michael Scott. The painted gold pig sits regally in the center of a domed cage with a yellow sunburst finial. The bottom of the sculpture is signed by the artist and dated 4/4/2000. The pig was one of four pigs done by the artist for the public art exhibit in Cincinnati the summer of 2000 (one of the pigs from this series proudly sits at an intersection in Rookwood Commons).
The Big Pig Gig was an exhibit in Cincinnati, the “pig” theme playing on the city’s history of meat packing and the “flying pig” referring to the city’s annual “Flying Pig Marathon”.
- This sculpture is quite large and will need to be professionally moved.
The sculpture is in good condition, the key to the padlock is missing but a bolt cutter should do the trick to open the cage.
Measurements are approximate.
