| Additional Information | Designed by Mark Specker, Rebecca Kaiser and Megan Crawford of Retzark Design. From the designers; “We chose our piece because of the simple geometric design from Lane Furniture. According to the serial number, it was made in 1978. When looking for a piece, we wanted to make sure it could be transformed in a variety of ways, but also something our entire office could contribute to. Because of the shape of the side table, as an office, we were drawn to the idea of a kaleidoscope, and how it could create something different from every angle. To execute this concept, we decided to paint the table black and use colorful macrame cord to create “string art” in the center of the table. Removing the side panels provides a different string composition from each vantage point allowing the table to have a colorful new personality.” |
