Accompanied note reads “Sam Williams compelled on board a British privateer called the Favorite Capt’ Underwood of N.Providence had been cruizing 4 months off the Mississippi when he lost his health in severe action with a Spanish ship – the pirates of Nassau pay their men nothing but first months wages.”
