A selection of 17 vintage children’s hardcover books. The lot includes fifteen books titled ‘Best in Children’s Books’ that include a vast array of classic stories with colorful illustrations, published by Nelson Doubleday, Inc. of Garden City, New York with 1950’s copyright dates. Also included is ‘The Ohio’ by R.E. Banta and illustrated by Edward Shelton, published by Rinehart & Company of New York and Toronto with 1949 copyright date and ‘The Road to Agra’ by Aimee Sommerfelt and illustrated by Ulf Aas, published by Criterion Books of New York with 1961 copyright date. All but the last title have dust jackets.
Condition
- wear and small tears to dust jackets consistent with age, at least three with writing to the inside pages.
