A 19th century dovetailed pencil chest in black painted wood with lovely stenciled ox blood red and bronze border, brass handled top, and brass pulls to the five storage drawers. Cursive period writing to the drawer fronts gives this piece added charm despite its missing front slide-in cover.
Condition
- some paint loss, missing front cover, 4" crack to right top seam.
