Phiris Sickels specializes in watercolor paintings, creating expressive abstract forms and colorful compositions to create playful scenes of cityscapes and everyday life. When discussing her art, she expressed, “I hope that people can see that I‘m having fun and that they also enjoy my work.” Sickels studied Fine Arts at the Carnegie Institute of Technology, she is on the board at the Pittsburgh Society of Artists, the Pittsburgh Watercolor Society, and co-manager of the Eastside Gallery, Pittsburgh.

Kathleen Zimbicki is a fixture in the Pittsburgh art scene as an artist, art advocate, and teacher. She has been painting her whole life and is primarily known for her whimsical and colorful watercolor paintings. She studied under Joseph Shepler and Henry Koerner, and has exhibited her work all over the world. Zimbicki’s art can be found in the many private and public collections, including the Beard Collection, Australia, Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, and Steubenville Construction Co., Steubenville, OH.
