Art Deco Ebonized Wood Vanity Table, 1930s
Item Details
Notes from Third Man Records Archivist Ben Blackwell:
Guys, seriously, do NOT let my wife see this. She’s been asking for a vanity literally the entire 12 years we’ve been married. At first we’d be out antiquing and we’d chance upon a couple and it was always, “oh, this one doesn’t match our furniture”, or “that one is too small.” YEARS of this dance. Finally, I just convinced myself “I kinda think that, uh, the world is out of vanities.” She’s not brought it up in a while…but this could get really uncomfortable really quick for me. I mean, I might just end up having to bid on this one. So this beauty, with a mirror for gazing, a level top for resting your perfumes and powders and sundry tinctures. I’m getting supes strong Daisy Buchanan vibes from this thing, so hop to it old sport.
