Framed Confederate States of America $1000 Bond Certificate. Dated February 20, 1863. This is one of sixty-seven believed to have been secretly deposited in the Bank of England in London. The bonds laid undiscovered for more than 100 years. Purchased by Frank E. Spring of London on January 14, 1975. The bond is in good condition, with provenance.
