Pauline Trigère (1908 – 2002) was a French-born American couturier. She won her first prestigious Coty American Fashion Critics’ Award in 1949. She received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Council of Fashion Designers of America in 1993. A few of her most famous clients included Jacqueline Kennedy, Grace Kelly, Wallis Simpson, Bette Davis, and Elizabeth Taylor.
James Galanos (1924-2016) was an American-born couturier. He won several Coty Awards among many other awards and was the youngest designer to win his first Coty Award in 1954.
