Formerly based in Pittsburgh and Chicago, American artist and educator, Katrina Halter, was born in Upper Strasburg, Pennsylvania in 1931. After high school, she received a Bachelor’s Degree in teaching from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania and continued her studies at Carnegie Mellon University for a Masters degree. Halter painted a variety of subject matters including landscapes, still lifes, figures and abstract surrealist.
