Similar to other Modernists of the 20th century, he began working in a more representational style, then progressed into gestural Abstract Expressionism before developing his mature monumental Color Field style. His work has been exhibited at multiple institutions including the Cincinnati Art Museum, the Dayton Art Institute, the Owensboro Museum of Art, and the J.B. Speed Museum of Art.
