Additional Information | An 1812 Land Grant document multi-signed by President James Madisyman GreenJohn Gamble on and then Secretary of State James Monroe. The Land Grant to Berryman Green, a Quartermaster on General George Washington’s staff, for ’a certain tract of land containing one thousand acres situate between the Little Miami and Sciota rivers, north west of the river Ohio’. Both signatures were signed in black ink by a dip pen and the document is dated March 24, 1812. |
