Influenced by German Expressionism and graffiti elements, Keil is known for his simplified abstractions of traditional art subjects. He studied under Otto Nagel at a young age and developed relationships with other renowned artists such as Joan Miró. As Keil abandoned realism and developed his signature style, he used more vibrant colors rapidly applied with large gestural brushstrokes resembling the abstract style of Picasso.

- frame does not include glass; abrasions and scratches to the frame; significant toning to the sheet; sheet is insecurely attached to the mat; tear throughout, notably to the lower portion; stains throughout; creases and buckling of the sheet.
