1850s Reproduction of the Jan. 4th, 1800 "Ulster County Gazette"

A 1850s reproduction of the original January 4th 1800 ‘Ulster County Gazette’ reporting the congressional proceedings regarding to the death of George Washington. The original newspaper was reproduced by the Longley Brothers of Cincinnati in the mid 1850s of which this is most likely an example. The newspaper is stamped in the top right corner with the Cincinnati Art Museum stamp and the accession date 1936.
- This item is Ex-Libris, having been stored in a climate controlled facility and is being auctioned to benefit the Cincinnati Art Museum Library.
Condition
, with the tell tale reproduction newsprint that is frayed at the edges and damaged at the fold lines.
