- toning, mat burn, scattered foxing, and spots of discoloration to both artworks; flecks of accretions present between paintings, mats, and the covering of each frame; chips and flaked loss to the paint and veneer of Pompei terme di Stabia – interno frame; abrasions, scratches, scuffs, and accretions to both frames.
