Cincinnati-based artist Karen Rolfes is inspired by Impressionist landscapes and was introduced to palette-knife impasto techniques by the French artist Pierre Bittar. Her career has been supported by her uncle and grandfather, who are both also painters. Rolfes’ works have been exhibited at The New York Art Expo, Art Santa Fe, and Spectrum Miami, and she has received numerous awards. She displays her work at her gallery, Oil Paintings By Karen Rolfes, in Madeira, Ohio.
