Virginia Brooks was born in Cincinnati in 1925. She graduated from high school in 1943, and continued on to attend Wellesley College, UCLA, Cincinnati Art Academy and Miami University in Oxford. She received her degree in Art Education from Miami University, and worked as the art teacher at Wyoming High School. Virginia and her husband, Samp Brooks, were both prominent watercolorists in Cincinnati, and members of the Midwest Watercolor Society. Virginia was also a member of the Cincinnati Women’s Art Club until her passing in 2020.
