Curtis Jeré is a nom de plume for the founding artists of Artisan House, Curtis Freiler (died 2013) and Jerry Fels (died 2008). The brothers-in-law founded the corporation in California in 1963 with the goal to bring designer art to the masses. The company was sold and is still in operation today in China.
