A painting, the first in a series of four, by GE engineer Carl Siple (Cincinnati). This scene shows a Mid Century Modern home and the Statue of Liberty. This is an unframed piece done on Crescent illustration board. This original work was done for an advertising campaign for General Electric during the Cold War. This depicts a ‘typical’ U.S. family in a ‘typical’ U.S. neighborhood playing with a red, white and blue ball while ‘Lady Liberty’ watches over them.
