Six Vintage Ludwig Mies van der Rohe Brno Armchairs

A set of six vintage Ludwig Mies van der Rohe ‘Brno’ armchairs. Iconic flat bar design features a heavy frame with a polished chrome finish. Seats, seat backs and arm cushions are upholstered in a dark navy cotton twill. Arms curve to a sled base connected by a stretcher. Designed by Mid Century Modern designers Mies van der Rohe (Germany 1886 – Chicago, 1969) and Lilly Reich (Germany, 1885 – 1947) in 1929-1930 for the bedroom of the Tugendhat House in Brno, Czech Republic. Reich was a modernist designer who collaborated with Mies for more than ten years.
Condition
Chairs are in very good condition for age. Two of the chairs have mild, light staining on the seats. There are minor scratches and scuffs to frames that are consistent with chrome use.
