- examined under UV light; craquelure, scuffs, flecks of accretions, and small spots of flaked loss lightly scattered to paint; scuffs to paint visible along the lower right edge of painting, possibly from contact wear with frame; slight buckling to canvas at the lower right corner; cracks, chips, and flaked loss to the gold-toned gesso accents and veneer of frame, most significantly at the upper left region; abrasions, scratches, scuffs, and accretions to frame.
