Four Sterling Silver Tablespoons, circa Mid 1700's
Item Details
A set of four London, United Kingdom sterling silver tablespoons with heart shape to handle end. Not identical, two of the spoons are marked with ‘Ebenezer Coker’ makers mark, with London date stamp 1750 and 1751. The other pair are marked with ‘Thomas Whipman’ makers stamp and London date mark 1765. The ‘Coker’ pair are engraved to underside of their handle with owners initials ‘A W, S G’ with date below. One has a shell decoration the other a foliate pattern in low relief. The Whipman pair are engraved to underside of handle with owners initials ‘W D’.
Condition
- heavier tarnish, one spoon is bent.
