An original oil painting by notable Cincinnati artist John R. Dugan (1918-1996). This piece features two Norwood (Ohio) police officers in uniform sitting in a horse-drawn Norwood PD patrol wagon. The painting is set in a linen mat and contoured wooden frame. Signed by the artist ‘J. Dugan’ in the bottom right-hand corner of the piece.
John R. Dugan (1918-1996) was a prominent Cincinnati artist. Dugan studied under several notable artists including John Weis, Louis Bouche, Joseph Albers and Ben Shahn. His work has been included in several collections including; The University Club, Cincinnati Club and Cincinnati Museum Association, as well as a number of private collections across the United States.
Condition
Painting and frame overall good condition. Linen matte and discoloration and ware through out.
