During his career, Charles taught printmaking to students from kindergarten through graduate levels. At the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, he traveled to Italy in the summer to teach students and gain inspiration for his artwork. His works have been displayed at the National Academy of Design, Carnegie Museum, Pennsylvania State Museum and various institutions.

Condition

- tiny holes in paper at the corners of sheet likely from previous use of pins or thumbtacks; buckling and toning to artwork; flecks of accretions and smudges of charcoal lightly scattered between artwork, mount, and the covering of frame; abrasions, scratches, scuffs, and accretions to frame.
