- overall with paint and patina loss; embedded residue; scratches and scuffs; the helmet is missing its front badge shield and inner lining and retains a canvas strap; indentations; the helmet’s brim is bent around its edges; the Cairns & Bros. metal maker’s tag is present to the interior of the helmet; drilled holes to the bronze plaques corners; any additions or alteration to this vintage helmet are unknown.
