Formerly based in Cincinnati in a home designed by a student of Frank Lloyd Wright, Stuart Holman is a multi-talented “picker” who has worked as an auctioneer and appraiser for twenty years. Throughout his career, he has conducted over 170 auctions in the Midwest and over 400 appraisals of personal property.
Aside from being a “picker” of antique and vintage merchandise, Holman as a musician has been “picking” the guitar since he was thirteen years of age and continues to play today. He spent years writing music and playing gigs in New York City, and has played across the United States with a number of talented musicians, including Lonnie Mack for two years. His talent has also taken him beyond the United States on a USO tour of Cuba. In addition, Holman has been making art for as long as he can remember; his serious painting endeavors began about twenty years ago, creating multi-layered and mixed media compositions, and he continues to paint today.
