Fashion illustrator and art educator, Margaret Voelker-Ferrier, was born in 1948 in Evansville, Indiana. Drawn to the allure of the fashion industry from a young age, Voelker-Ferrier attended the University of Cincinnati’s College of Design, Art, Architecture, and Planning (DAAP) before traveling to Paris to pursue her career. By the age of 28, Voelker-Ferrier became well-known across Europe for her illustrations, working for notable designers and creating influential pieces. She returned to Ohio to finish her education and ultimately became a professor at her alma mater, motivating her students to pursue their own dreams in the fashion industry.
