- toning, lightly scattered scratches, and accretions to both photographs; discoloration to photograph along the edges of the female portrait; cracks, chips, and flaked loss to the gesso veneer of each frame, but most significantly to the lower left corner of the female portrait; abrasions, scratches, scuffs, and accretions to both frames.
