- paint chipping and loss; discoloration; indentation to the brim and crown of the helmet; embedded residue; scratches and embedded residue; scuffs to the leather front identification shield; oxidation to the affixed finial to the helmet; the Cairns & Brothers maker’s metal name plate and paper size tag is present to the interior; the inner lining is attached but shows wear and stains; no chin strap; additions or alteration to this vintage firefighting helmet may exist.
