An original oil painting on canvas by contemporary American Realist painter James Guentner (Pennsylvania), titled By the Lake. The painting depicts a tangle of leafless trees filling the foreground. Between their twisting branches once can see a tall wooden barn standing in the center of a grassy field. A small lake can be seen in the distance. The painting is signed in off-white to the lower right. It is presented in a wooden slate-style frame with a hanging wire attached to the verso.

Condition

- abrasions to the edges of the canvas; negligible paint chipping and scratches throughout the composition.
