- the bust of the carving appears to be splint through about halfway towards the mount, possibly intentionally, and then re-attached to the artwork with adhesive residue; cracks present to the carving, mostly along the grain of the wood; accretions, scuffs, minor abrasions, scratches, and discoloration to the wood of the carving; large vertical split present down the center of the wood mount, which has been repaired to the verso with a screwed metal bar and significant green adhesive residue; visible holes drilled through the mount at the upper center and lower right regions; minor chips, cracks, scratches, scuffs, discoloration, and accretions to the wood of the mount.
