Obsolete Confederate $500 War Bond, 1863. This lot consists of a $500 Confederate War Bond issued by an act of the Confederate Congress on February 20th, 1863. It features a soldier warming his hands over a campfire to the top center and has four payment coupons still attached. The bond was printed by Archer and Daly of Richmond, Virginia, and has the handwritten serial number of #21062 with the signatures of Robert Tyler on the bond and M. LaRue(?) on the payment coupons. The bond has light toning and light to moderately worn edges. It is mounted and framed behind plastic. Bond measures 13.75’ W X 12’ H.
