- the artwork has been examined under UV light and shows signs of minor inpainting repairs scattered throughout; the painting also shows signs to the verso of having had the canvas relined; craquelure, accretions, significant scratches, scuffs, and minor flaking to paint; gaps present at the corners between the bars of frame; chips, flakes, and loss to the gold-toned paint and gesso veneer of frame scattered throughout; abrasions, scratches, scuffs, significant discoloration, and accretions to frame.
