Margot van Voorhies was a highly influential silversmith presiding in the city of Taxco, a hub of modernist, Mexican jewelry. Primarily working in colorful enamels she worked in traditional motifs evoking Mayan and Aztec designs as well as Egyptian, floral and serpent motifs. This is design #5533 and can be found on page 174 in Margot Van Voorhies: The Art of Mexican Enamelwork by, Penny C. Morrill.
