Natiya is a Navajo sculptor who aims to represent his heritage and provide an authentic perspective of Native American and Western culture. He began his art training at an early age as his mother, potter Mary ‘Ah-so-bah’ Saxon, taught him the fine art of design and craft of pottery. This training imparted him with the love of sculpting. Natiya went on to study art and art history at the University of New Mexico, receiving a Bachelor’s of Fine Art. Afterward, he managed a local art supply store while honing his craft of working with clay and bronze. He is represented at Huey’s Fine Art in Santa Fe and Lovett’s Gallery in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Natiya’s bronzes are collected nationally.
