Additional Information Provenance: attributed to Robert Harrold, Portsmouth, NH, active circa 1765. By direct descent through the family of John H. Bartlett, 1859-1952, Republican governor of New Hampshire. And on the mother’s side Senator Calvin Page, also of New Hampshire.


- overall with various scratches, marks, nicks/chips, light cracks, and abrasions consistent with age and use; scattered finish wear; shoes along bottom of backsplats are loose (velcro has been applied to undersides); some repairs/reinforcements (most notably to backsplats, shoes, and seat secondaries (one seat secondary has a later block); upholstery is later and with a couple small stains (undersides of seats without dust covers).
